Why Carry A PMR446 Two Way Radio?

Greetings earthlings, Why is it worth carrying
a PMR446 Two Way Radio? Well I tend get traffic reports and other updates through Two Way
Radio that well PMR446’s that I can avoid traffic and build ups, accidents and anything
else that comes up cos I’m using Two Way Radio I can also get road conditions and things
like that basically I can get decent updates cos I’m communicating with somebody over the
radio and I’m able to get direct reports and updated alot more quicker than say with an
FM receiver say for example gold but using that as an example even though I don’t think
it’s on FM maybe on digital maybe medium wave I dunno listening to standard radio receivers
doesn’t help you using apps on your phones are not useful cos they’re not updated so
often so they’re not updated regularly enuf you may lose internet of phone signals or
something like that and you can’t get reports over the internet so your stuck on internet
until you get an phone signal atleast with a Two Way Radio there’s usually somebody in
range to give you road reports road conditions and anything else you may want reports on
plus you get people to talk to and things like that so your constantly updated every
minute of road reports, conditions and what ever else you wanna be updated on so using
Two Way Radio is alot more effective than using a mobile phone or listening to standard
radio receiver and not getting the traffic updates within your area quick enough or not
at all cos your using the wrong equipment but atleast with Two Way Radio you know there’s
someone in range that’s why I use this radio I do have others I think I’ve shown videos
of them I know on my Facebook Page I tend to show my equipment I got same on my personal
profile and same on my instagram so yeah but I do think I have other videos on this channel
that shows my other radios I do have this Baofeng BF-888s 16 channels PMR446 since 1st
January this year they’ve allocated 16 channels insteada your first 8 channels now you get
16 channels plus they’ve also said you can use external antennas as long it’s FCC type
approved radio basically does half – a – watt out with zero DB gain on the antenna and it
mean you can use any external antenna that’s zero DB gain atleast 20 foot above ground
I think the ruling is but I think it’s 20 foot above ground you can have it along with
the hill, road pathway or other areas your doing that you are taking the route of so
yea your best of carrying a Two Way Radio so you can get updates on road conditions
make sure the radio as scan function alot of people do tend to monitor quite alot of
the channels anyway it’s just alot of people don’t know about the 16 channels allocations
since they only know of the first 8 channels cos there are radios being sold on the first
8 channels insteada doing the full 16 channels still so when the full 16 channels radios
come into effect I don’t know but there are radios that already do half – a – watt external
antenna 16 channels like the CRT 7 WP radio which I know I’ve done a review on so I will
add that to this video either via card or the end screen annotation so look out for
that so yeah that’s what I gotta pretty much say so gonna leave it at that so nanu nanu
for now
