Meet KaraLynne Wolfe of Chelsea Square in Montclair, NJ

We’re proud to call Montclair our home
because of the neighborhoods that boast diversity an active community and a
thriving business district anchored by ample shops and restaurants. We consider ourselves lucky to be able to partner with so many businesses in town. Along
the way we found that what makes these businesses truly unique are the people
behind them. Today we’re highlighting KaraLynne Wolfe and her boutique Chelsea Square. So my name is KaraLynne, I own Chelsea Square, I took over about a year
and a half ago and we’re lucky enough to be in town for 40 years now. Chelsea
square actually started out as a Caswell Massie store in 1978 by Sandy Kalman. She was actually opened over at the Muse and she opened it after having four kids and
they were all off in school and she’s just one of these amazing people that
just can’t stay still. So then last over two years later she took over and
changed it to Chelsea Square and brought it to this very spot so since then she
brought in brands aside from Caswell Massie like Crabtree and Evelyn, Kiehls,
and we’re very lucky to have crossed that 40 year mark. When you think about
it Montclair’s 150 years old and we’ve been part of that history for
almost 1/3 of the time. So I actually grew up in town, I’ve worked probably
half of the stores that some of them aren’t here anymore I went to school
here about two years ago I had a baby and I decided that there was no place
like home. Like I could totally see myself raising
my kid here having her you know walk to school walk around town and see myself
you know being part of the community. So a small business in Montclair I think is what creates and fosters our community so I think that small business
is the staple of what adds to this being a home I mean I know for me that’s
exactly how I felt. When you think about the town
and you think about you know the folks that are involved we wanted to highlight
them, right, you know they all have their strong suits and they’re all an
influencer in the community but more so you know we wanted to just spotlight who
they are right you know. You look at Melissa from Sweat and Strut and she’s
just this amazing person right she makes you feel good about yourself, she
motivates you, she’s also a mom of two right. She is a huge advocate and
supportive for the town so you know we wanted to build a collection that talks
about her because she inspires so many. Same thing with Amy right, she is someone
who helps people find their their homes whether it’s their starter home or the
forever home – she’s an inspiration in her own right. So you know we really tried to
pick people – one that you know you just can’t help but gravitate towards, but two,
to just tell their story. One of the things that we find is that we love
working with our customers, you know, we love putting gifts together for them, we
love making them feel good about themselves and the gifts that they’re
giving and even if it’s a gift for themselves, and we’re constantly going
through everything to to try to look and find the best of the best to bring to
this community. I think some of the highlights that you’ll see in the store
is our diffusers. So last year we rolled out these amazing porcelain diffusers
that are hand-blown and it went so well that we increased our collection. So we’re
really excited to share the new pieces with everyone we think everyone’s gonna
love it. And also our candles I mean we have
brought in a really really great collection for the holiday. And then find
