Guided Wim Hof Method Breathing

Guided Wim Hof Method Breathing

Hi guys. Welcome. This is a guided breathing session. Relax to the deepest. Lay or sit down. Whatever it takes… Relax. Are you ready? Here we go. Round number one. Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out. Just go with the flow of the breath. In. Out. In. Out. In. Out. In. Out. Into the belly. Into the chest. And let go. Like a wave. Make it circular. Fully in. Letting go. Just keep on going. No pause between inhalation and exhalation. Ten more. Fully in. Letting go. Five more. Let’s give it all we got. Last one. Fully in. And let go. All right. One minute breath hold from now on. Be in this moment. Let the body do what the body is capable of doing. Be aware of your heartbeat.. Slow it down, and just be in this moment. Let that relaxation spread down to your toes, into your fingertips, to the base of your neck and head. You are almost there. Do you want to prolong your breath hold? Pause the video now and continue when you feel the urge to breathe. Ok. Recovery breath in… Five. Four. Three. Two. One. Take a deep breath in and hold for 15 seconds. Exhale in three… Two. One. Let it go. Round number two. Back into that rhythm. Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out. In. Out. In. Out. In. Out. Into the belly, Into the chest, and let go. Like a wave. Make it circular.. Fully in. Letting go. Just keep on going. No pause between inhalation and exhalation. In with peace. Out with stress Ten more. Fully in. Letting go. Nice deep circular breaths. Five more. Let’s give it all we got. Last one, fully in… and on the exhale… Stop. One a half minute breath hold from now on. Feel. Become aware of your body. If your hands and feet are tingling or you feel your body temperature is changing, that’s ok. You’re doing fantastic. If you need to breathe before I give the cue, that’s okay. You are almost there. Do you want to prolong your breath hold? Pause the video now and continue when you feel the urge to breathe. When you are ready… Fully in, and hold for 15 seconds. Exhale in three… Two. One. Let it go. Round number three. Back into that rhythm. Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out. In with the relaxation. Out with the stress. In . Out. In. Out. In. Out. Into the belly, into the chest, and let go. Like a wave. Make it circular. Fully in. Letting go Just keep on going. No pause between inhalation and exhalation. In with peace Out with stress. Ten more. Fully in. Letting go. Nice deep circular breaths. Five more. Let’s give it all we got. Last one. Fully in. And on the exhale… Stop. One and a half minute breath hold from now on. Become aware of the blood running through your veins, your heart beating. Feel. Thirty seconds left. You are almost there. Do you want to prolong your breath hold? Pause the video now and continue when you feel the urge to breathe. Alright. Breathe in. And hold for 15 seconds. Exhale in three… Two. One. Let it go. Let your breathing return to normal as you finish up the round. Move your body bit by bit, starting with your fingers and your toes. Let your breathing normalise. 3. This makes me feel like I'm on a high or something, it's really impressive, to be honest I was skeptical at first, but I truly felt it, really makes you feel great 😊

  4. Made me uneasy.
Tho I can hold my breath for one minute ez from full expiration just without hyperventilating before.
Guess if it works for you nice.

  5. I've been doing this every morning for a week now, it sets me up for a good day in all aspects. Thank you for the content Wim, you are a legend x

  6. i would like to know if this breathing excercixe has positive benifits to muscle recovery from fitness. because if it increses blood flow i could imagine it helps the mucles get more nutrients or simply oxygen when the muscle fibres has been broken down. thus more recovery and perhaps gains. but as a natural lifter the protein synthesis occours when you train only
compared to enhanced lifters where protein synthesis is always active. so should natural lifters do this excericse pre workout or after to maximize potentiel recovery/muscle gain. if this method even helps to do so. it truly is an amazing excercise and great euphoric feeling man. Wim Hof truly is a example of greatness in mind and body control. Please answer my question, and good day.

  7. Holding breath after exhale? My first thought: i can't do even 10 sec.
Then: holding more than minute omg and i never ego had such beautiful calm feeling and peace by holding breath. I really enjoyed it…thanks wim

  8. Is it possible to do breathing exercise too many times a day? Been doing twice a day I find myself wanting to increase. I'm 72,in pretty decent shape…walk 3-5 miles each day & do vigorous isometrics while doing so….also light weights, usually in the evening. My thought is…"If my heart & or head explode,it'll be a GREAT way to go"…In all seriousness though,I'd really appreciate your input Wim. Thanks brother!

  9. i just tried this method for the first time. during the first round i felt the urge to breathe after about 30-40 seconds, but in the second round i immediately felt more control over my breathing and i managed to reach the 1:30 easily. the 3rd round i paused the vid for about 30 seconds and reached about 2:00. I guess i had to get use to the feeling a bit but i feel in control now. I will try another session tomorrow. What is the recommended amount of sessions one should do or should not do within a certain timeframe? Is more than 1 session within 1-2 hours too much/unwise?

  10. I've been meditating for over 10 years for spiritual development and OBEs, never bothered much with breathing though but I've always admired your accomplishments and figured I should stop being lazy and finally try your exercise. As many other comments state, you get a sense of euphoria and I couldn't help laughing at the end, it also brought me a deep level of relaxation that will alter my brainwaves faster for deep meditation. Thanks for giving this specific exercise for free, I will definitely purchase your whole program some day soon as I live in Sweden and some cold resistance would certainly be nice!

Just wondering (If you ever get a chance to read this), can I do this for more than 3-4 rounds? I've been doing it for 7-8 times and it's hard to stop… and is it normal to lose some hearing for a minute afterwards? I can only assume it's bloodflow to the ears or something…

Anyways thanks Mr. Hof, you're truly one of the greatest people alive and I strive to be the best I can be with you as inspiration!

  11. I cannot thank you enough for the gift you have given me May blessings return to you a 1000fold. In the last 6 months I was diagnosed with COPD, they then discovered a lump in my neck which resulted in an aggressive cancer so a total removal of my thyroid along with osteoarthritis in spine in many joints. After a couple of rounds of this breathing technique it’s the best I’ve felt for a long time and I’m now filled with hope for recovery and wellness Namaste 🙏 bless you

  12. I would like to share my issue with cold water and i would like to know if anybody have the same experience. I have noticed that every time i quickly enter into cold water i fell very hard muscle spasm in my hands, legs ( mainly fingers). If i enter my head below cold water the pain in my had is so strong nobody can resists. I am talking temperatures below 10 Celsius. The colder water- harder the pain . If i stay in water despite spasm it will gradually disappear (legs and hands) but this is some kind of torturing for me. For my had i think the pain is to strong, so i didn't try to endure under water cause i cant hold the pain – spasm. Let me tell that this occurs only when i quickly enter into cold bath ,lake, river …. Thanks for your opinion. Peter from Slovenia

  13. Thanks for video my average breath hold is 1min and before this video it was 30 seconds I'm not an adult so this was really amazing for me

  14. It's a nice exercise for your lungs, but I can't seem to gain other benefits. What am I doing wrong? I experience the lightheadedness and tingling after hyperventilating, and I can hold longer after each round, but it doesn't result in a smile, peace or relief. I suffer from depression and anxiety, and I was really hopeful after finding this video…please help me understand and do it better! 🙁

  15. Whoah, here to say i tried this yesterday
I managed to make it in round 1,then at round 2 i needed to breathe at 50 sec's to go
Tried this again today right after a contrast shower (ending with cold),managed to make this trough round 2 and the 15 sec inhale afterwise, weird as i feel like huge dopamine spiking in me,i was a 2nd hand smoker my whole life, fighting all kinds of heavy metal toxicities and adrenal fatigue (biggest problem) but this right here makes me feel like i can achieve everything!
Need to stop smoking for good, this guide is lifesaving!

  16. This was recommended to me for my anxiety and I have to say it actually worked going to continue with this whenever I feel anxious Thank you for making this

  17. 18. Many, many thanks again dear Wim, I'm doing it two times every day, from the moment you gave it to us. The best for your life! 🙂

  19. Can anyone tell me, are you supposed to exhale all of the breath in your lungs before the long breath hold, or are you leaving some air in there? I’m just wondering because I’m struggling with holding my breath for the full 1:30, so I’m thinking maybe I’m doing it wrong

  20. Question guys: when we says hold our breath on the exhale, does that mean we spend a minute with no air in the lungs or with the lungs full of air?

  21. I started doing 3 sets of laying down for 30 and at the end had gas so I know an acid base reaction when I pass gas …. so like Thai chi … Prana breathing

  22. I used to do this unknowingly in boring maths lessons…I’d do the rapid breathing for a minute instead then see how long I could hold my breath… used to do it to pass the time!!

  23. Even though I'm still searching for my peace I am so grateful for this video it feels like I have a friend on the journey. Thank you brother.

  24. Do i have to breath out and than hold my breath without air in my longs? Or do i have to breath in first and then hold my breath? Thanks for this video 🙏🙏🙏

  25. Wim, I had a massive pulmonary embolism across both lungs in 2015. A cause was never found so I am in blood thinners for life. As a result, I am terrified of running out of breath and I'm terrified to try this method. Do you have any advice for me please? I suffer with anxiety and I want to take control of my life but I'm afraid. Thank you. Beautiful video.

  26. This is the closest I've ever been to meditation. My body and mind feel great when I do this, so I've resolved to do it at least once a day, every day. Ecstatic that I came across this ❤️

  27. hi i tried the method for a week now and i feel good but im doing after a cold shower is it ok to do it this way?
