Fault Finding Electrical Problems on a Pressure Washer Pump

electrical fault on a pressure washer pump. Important before replacing a part in any electrical appliance you must ensure that the appliance
is first disconnected from the mains. Pressure washers are found in most households
but there can be common faults. If your machine is dead, trips the electrics or stalls this video may
help identify your problem and repair it. There can be problems with a pump and
these are covered in another video. The main electrical problems that occur are: Not running: If your pressure washer is not turning on at all check the plug fuse, and the cable, and
the switch for continuity with a meter. Check the neutral from the plug through
the cable through the switch to the motor. Then the live. Through the plug fuse. Through the switch to the motor. Through the capacitor if fitted to the motor. Tripping or blowing fuses:
If your fuse board earth trips keeps cutting off make sure no water got into the switch or electrics. Look for signs of blackening on
switches or damaged to the capacitor. Motor Stalling or not starting:
If the motor stops and buzzes or makes a loud buzz does not run examined or suspect the
motor capacitor or motor brushes depending on Model. So that’s the main problems
